Armenian Defense Minister hopes for stability in Afghanistan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Within the framework of Brussels-hosted NATO summit on Afghanistan, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan met with his Georgian and Polish counterparts, Bacho Akhalaia and Bogdan Klich to discuss cooperation in defense sector.

Ohanyan also met with NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe, Admiral James Stavridis and the coalition's commander in Afghanistan David Petraeus. The parties discussed the issues related to Armenian peacemakers’ activities in Afghanistan.

In his statement made during the summit, Armenian Defense Minister expressed hope for preservation of safety and stability in Afghanistan, emphasizing the importance of the peacemakers’ involvement, Armenian Defense Ministry press service reported.
