EAJFD: Karabakh not to return under Azerbaijan’s jurisdiction

PanARMENIAN.Net - President of the European Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy (EAJFD) Hilda Tchoboian said that Karabakh will never return under Azerbaijan’s jurisdiction, while the international community has no moral right to demand it.

Commenting on the March 9 statement of French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe in the country’s parliament that “the nation’s right to self-determination is a fundamental principle,” Tchoboian said that France, as Minsk Group’s co-chair country, has enough experience and authority to encourage the nation’s right to self-determination, EAJFD reported.

“With this statement, Juppe paves a way for Nagorno Karabakh’s international recognition,” Tchoboian said, adding that European Union President Herman Van Rompuy, who welcomed and recognized the interim Libyan transitional national council, also supported the nation’s right to self-determination.

“We hail EU’s similar stance. The Karabakh people, like Libyans, rebelled against tyranny,” concluded Tchoboian.
