MINSK GROUP CO-CHAIRS MAY MAKE NEW PROPOSALS AFTER NEGOTIATIONS IN FLORIDAApril 2, 2001 - 23:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, April 2. /Mediamax/. On the basis of negotiations in Florida the Minsk group co-chairs may make new proposals on regulation of Karabakh conflict. Mediamax was informed from diplomatic sources that this was announced by a U.S. senior state department official at a special briefing in Washington. The briefing, under the condition of keeping in secret the name of the diplomat, was held before the meeting of Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan scheduled to start April 3 in Florida. The American official reminded that the three proposals made by the Minsk group co-chairs remained on the table, and the parties could use them. He also noted that however, the co-chairs were not going to renew their previous proposals, and there was no reason to think that those would be the basis for a peace agreement. --0-- Top stories The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
