EU must clearly stipulate that there’s no alternative to peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflictMarch 17, 2011 - 17:05 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Within the framework of his 3-day visit to Belgium, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan delivered a statement at European Parliament’s foreign affairs committee. The statement was followed by a Q&A session. The Prime Minister thanked the international community for contribution to Karabakh conflict settlement. However, as Sargsyan noted, the main responsibility in resolving the issue lies with the conflicting parties. “EU will promote the issue by clearly stipulating that there’s no alternative to peaceful settlement of the conflict,” the Prime Minister stressed. As he noted, creation of unified values among the regional states on their way to European integration will help in resolving the issue.
