Artsakh President meets with OSCE CiO in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - On March 18 President of the Republic of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan met with Lithuanian Foreign Minister, OSCE Chairman-in-Office Audronius Azubalis in Yerevan.

The Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict settlement and regional processes were in the focus of the meeting.

Sahakyan briefed on Karabakh’s stance with respect to the conflict settlement, underlining that the Azerbaijani-Karabakh relations should be settled by peaceful means and through immediate dialogue.

Sahakyan stressed the necessity of restoring the full-fledged negotiation format with the direct participation of Artsakh, considering it among pivotal components of the conflict settlement process.

The President of Artsakh also said that the OSCE should pay greater attention to destructive and anti-Armenian policy of Azerbaijan that considerably hinders both the conflict settlement and the formation of mutual trust atmosphere in the region.

The parties noted that the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group is the most efficient platform for the conflict settlement and any attempts to transfer it into other instances would only harm the process.

The NKR Foreign Minister Georgy Petrosyan, personal representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office Andrzej Kasprzyk and other officials participated in the meeting, the Central Information Department at the Artsakh President’s Office reported.
