8 Armenian GMs to compete at European Individual ChampionshipMarch 22, 2011 - 11:10 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The 12th European Championship which will be held in Aix-les-Bains, France, from March 21 to April 3, 2011, hosting more than 400 players from 54 countries, including the strongest Grandmasters of the world. Armenia will be represented by Vladimir Akopian, Gabriel Sagrissian, Robert Hovhannisyan, Samvel Ter-Sahakyan, Zaven Andriasyan, Arman Pashikyan, Averik Grigoryan and Hrant Melkumyan. The Championship is qualification event for the next World Cup. According to the FIDE Regulations and the decision of the ECU Board, 23 players will qualify.
