Expert: town building inflicted ecological damage on Yerevan![]() March 29, 2011 - 16:10 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Over the past 10 years, town building in Yerevan has been inflicting ecological and social damage on the city, according to a member of Public Council of Armenia. As ecologist Karine Danielyan told a news conference in Yerevan, serious violations of seismic security were observed in the construction of new buildings. Besides, environmental pollution and waste management have turned into serious issued for the capital. “A trash dump in Nubarashen is creating serious environmental problems, with Yerevan Municipality unable to resolve the issue by its own means. The assistance of the government in the issue is necessary,” Danielyan stressed.
