Star: Acemoglu will represent Turkey at OECD upon completion of scientific work

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey does not discriminate against its citizens based on their nationalities; we highly value the merits of world-known economist Daron Acemoglu, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated, adding that a scientist of that scale will properly represent Turkey in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris.

Acemoglu expressed readiness to represent Turkish government at OECD upon completion of his scientific work, Star Turkish newspaper reported.

Daron Acemoglu is a Turkish economist of Armenian origin. He is currently the Charles P. Kindleberger Professor of Applied Economics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and winner of the 2005 John Bates Clark Medal. The economist was twice nominated for the Nobel Prize.
