Micheline Calmy-Rey invites Armenian President to Switzerland![]() April 1, 2011 - 10:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On April 1, the resident of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan hosted a farewell ceremony for Swiss President Micheline Calmy-Rey, who was on a visit to Armenia. Earlier, the two Presidents met to summarize the results of the visit. Sargsyan expressed hope that Calmy-Rey’s visit will contribute to boosting relations between Armenia and Switzerland. “The first official visit of the Swiss President to Armenia will serve as an impetus for boosting and developing the Armenian-Swiss relations – in both bilateral and multilateral formats,” he said. For her part, Calmy-Rey hailed the results of the visit and expressed gratitude for a warm reception. “The two countries aspire to develop the bilateral relations, while Switzerland is a friendly country and reliable partner for Armenia,” she said. Calmy-Rey invited Sargsyan to pay a visit to Switzerland, the presidential press service reported. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
