Yerevan Foursquare community to celebrate worldwide meetup dayApril 6, 2011 - 11:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On April 16, Foursquare social network celebrates a Foursquare worldwide meetup day, with 992 Foursquare communities joining the event. Yerevan Foursquare community will also celebrate the day in the center of the city (Cascade) at 7 pm on the initiative of Arpine Grigoryan, one of most active users of Foursquare. As Ms. Grigoryan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, on the meetup day, “Armenian Foursquare users will gather to talk, take pictures, play Foursquare game and do other stuff.” “Foursquare wrote a letter to me, as an organizer of the event, and said that if 50 and more users confirm their participation at meetup.com, Foursquare will send some presents to Armenia: t-shirts and badges with Foursquare logo,” she said, adding that if 50 users of Foursquare check in at the same time and at the same place, Foursquare will give everyone a “swarm” badge. Participation on meetup day should be confirmed at www.meetup.com/foursquare. Foursquare.com is a social network for smartphone users. User can check in at places by Foursquare application which works by GPS. As much they check in as much they get new funny badges and mayorships.
