Amoyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that the tournament turned to be an easy one for him. “Though I competed with several strong wrestlers, but did not face difficulties. I felt responsibility in the fight vs. an Azerbaijani wrestler in the semifinal, but managed to defeat him as well,” said Amoyan. Amoyan celebrated confident victories in all matches, without giving a point to his competitors. Istanbul will host the World Championships on September 12-18. Participants will be able to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games. “Hopefully, I will be in a good shape also at the World Championships to display my best qualities,” concluded Amoyan. Armenia’s Narek Manasyan (92kg) won Armenia’s second silver medal at the European Boxing Championships 2024 on April 28. Armenian gymnast, Olympic bronze medalist Artur Davtyan has reached the finals of the World Cup.
