Four Armenian boxers celebrate victory on first day of Gagik Tsarukyan Cup

PanARMENIAN.Net - On April 12, international boxing tournament - Gagik Tsarukyan Cup kicked off in Yerevan with participation of over 130 boxers from 16 countries.

Four out of nine Armenian boxers, who entered competition on the first day, advanced to the next round.

Specifically, Armenia’s Hovhannes Bachkov (56kg), Hrayr Matevosyan, Volodya Hayrapetyan and Arthur Kirajyan (all in 64kg weight category) defeated Mishal Banjamin Lakra (India), Anjel Hristol (Bulgaria), Sergey Gharibyan (Armenia) and Ruzapi Mazed (Iran) respectively.
