FAAE calls on Obama to recognize Armenian Genocide

PanARMENIAN.Net - It has become a ‘tradition’ for the Armenian organizations to call on Barack Obama to meet his election pledge and properly recognize the Armenian Genocide, says a letter issued by the Forum of Armenian Associations in Europe.

“As a senator and presidential hopeful you pledged to recognize the crime committed against the Armenian nation in 1915 as Genocide, as a result of which majority of the Armenian population in the Ottoman Empire was slaughtered,” the letter says. “We believe that justice can’t be bought or sold. We so believe that you can keep your promise and restore the authority you used to enjoy as a presidential candidate. And we are anticipating your April 24 address.”
