The new message reads "Honoring the memory of 1.5 million lives. April 24, 1915. Recognize the Armenian Genocide" and replaces the previous message "Now is the time to turn hope into action." This year, for the first time since 1915 April 24th Genocide Remembrance Day falls on Easter Sunday. The new message on the billboard urges motorists to honor the memory of one and half million Armenians who perished between 1915 and 1923, and to celebrate the resurrection of the Armenian nation demanding the recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
