VISIT OF THE ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTER TO IRAQ IS OVER

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, February 26. /Mediamax/. The opening ceremony of the Armenian embassy in Baghdad took place during the working visit of the Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian to Iraq on Feb. 25-26.

As Mediamax was informed in the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia, possibilities of trade-economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed during the visit. Vardan Oskanian and Iraqi vice-premier Tariq Aziz stressed at a meeting the necessity of creating appropriate agreement-legal basis. The parties also discussed possible perspectives of reconsidering UN's sanctions against Iraq.

Armenian Foreign Minister introduced to Tariq Aziz the situation in the Caucasian region, Armenia's relations with the neighboring states and the recent developments in the Karabakh peace process. --0--
