Kars monument dismantling has no to do with Armenian-Turkish relations

PanARMENIAN.Net - The dismantling of the friendship monument in Kars has nothing to do with the Armenian-Turkish relations, an expert said.

“Bilateral relations will develop in the light of other factors, irrelatively of a statue. The decision to remove the friendship monument is a manifestation of inferiority complex, on the one hand, and populist move, on the other,” Caucasus Institute scientific department director Sergey Minasyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

“Turkey will have to open the border and normalize relations with Armenia in a short-term outlook,” he said.
