Carel Hofstra attaches importance to social protection of servicemenApril 28, 2011 - 14:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan, Carel Hofstra said that, according to the results of researches conducted as part of the OSCE program, there is a direct correlation between the level of officers’ education and level of discipline in the army. High level of officers’ education program is very important for formation of a value system in the army, Hofstra said during a discussion on peculiarities of formation of officers’ image in army and society. Besides, Hofstra attached importance to officers’ social protection. He expressed hope that the Armenian Defense Ministry will focus on these matters as part of defense reforms.
