ANM: today opposition dictates policy in Armenia April 28, 2011 - 17:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Chairman of the Armenian National Movement board Aram Manukyan said that the calm and rational opposition celebrates victories with the people’s assistance. “Today, the Armenian opposition – Armenian National Congress (ANC) – dictates the political agenda, while the authorities have to consider our will,” Manukyan told the April 28 ANC rally in Yerevan. He added that release of boxer Samson Khachatryan is among such victories. For his part, Khachatryan expressed gratitude to the people for his release, saying that there are many innocent people in Armenia’s prisons. He urged to continue the struggle. On April 28, the Armenian authorities for the first time allowed the opposition Armenian National Congress to hold its rally in Liberty Square of Yerevan after the March 1-2, 2008, events.
