Diaspora representatives think it is impossible to gain profit in Armenia, what is untrueApril 30, 2011 - 15:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received members of a conference held in Yerevan on April 29-30 with participation of Armenian chambers of commerce and industry and entrepreneurs’ unions. Mr. Sargsyan attached importance to immediate participation of our compatriots in the country’s development. He noted that many Diaspora representatives think it is impossible to gain profit in Armenia, what is untrue, the RA presidential press service reported. The Armenian leader hailed the initiative of the Armenian Ministry of Diaspora, Canada-Armenia Business Council to establish Armenian Trade Network. Mr. Sargsyan expressed hope that it will become an efficient structure. He also answered the guests’ questions concerning Armenia’s economy, reforms conducted in the country, as well as processes in internal and foreign policy. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision. Kerobyan has said that for the first time in the history of Armenia, the volume of foreign direct investments amounted to about $1 billion. Partner news |
