OSCE MISSION CARRIES OUT ITS REGULAR MONITORING OF CONTACT LINE OF NKR AND AZERI ARMED FORCES

The OSCE mission visited on February 13 the northern section of the contact line of Nagorno Karabakhi and Azerbaijani Armed Forces to hold its regular planned monitoring, the correspondent of Mediamax was informed in the press service of the Foreign Ministry of NKR.

The mission staff includes field assistants of the Personal representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Lieutenant-Colonel Candor Ukase (Hungary), Vladimir Tolkach (Ukraine) and representative of the OSCE High level planning group, Colonel Vladimir Reznikov (Russia).

Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the visual contact between the observing groups on both the sides of the contact line was not carried out. With the help of OSCE radio means, a radio exchange on the question of cease-fire regime consolidation took place between the representatives of the NKR and Azeri Defense ministries.

The commanders of military sub-units of NKR Defense Army, stationed on this section, introduced to the members of the mission with the material evidence confirming the fact of frequent infantry weapon fire by the Azeri side at the Karabakhi positions, as well as at the transport means that realize rear providing of NKR Armed forces sub-units. This was fixed by the OSCE representatives.

Representatives of the Defense Ministry and Foreign Ministry of NKR accompanied the OSCE mission from the Karabakhi side. -0-
