Hrant Bagrazyan featured at special piano recital in Cleveland

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Women’s Guild of St. Gregory of Narek in Cleveland, Ohio, hosted a spring musical event in the form of a special piano recital on May 6.

The recital featured Hrant Bagrazyan, an accomplished pianist and student at The Cleveland Institute of Music, according to Cleveland.com.

Bagrazyan is a native of Yerevan, Armenia, who started playing piano at the age of 6. He entered the Tchaikovsky Music School in Yerevan in 1992 and studied at the State Conservatory from 2002-2009. He has participated and won several prizes in piano competitions in Europe and Armenia including third place in the 2007 Aram Khachaturian International Piano competition.

The evening included works from Beethoven, Schumann, Liszt and Komidas. A wine and cheese reception followed.
