  3000 veterans of Great Patriotic War reside in Armenia at present May 7, 2011 - 15:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - At present, about 3000 Great Patriotic War veterans reside in Armenia, with the youngest of them aged 86. As the head of the Union of Armenia’s Veterans, colonel Simon Yesayan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, the number of veterans is decreasing annually. According to Mr. Yesayan, this year, On May 8, the veterans will visit Yerablur the memorial to Artsakh war soldiers. In the morning of May 9, the veterans will lay wreaths at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Yerevan. This year, similarly to previous ones, a field dinner for veterans will be organized in Victory Park. On May 10, Yerevan municipality will grant monetary awards to the veterans.
