EcoLur: Sotq deposit exploitation to cause serious damage to Lake SevanMay 10, 2011 - 16:05 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Ecolur NGO chairperson Inga Zarafyan said exploitation of Sotq deposit by GeoProMining Gold company, which has launched construction to place a crusher for gold-bearing ores, may cause serious damage to Lake Sevan. Public discussions were organized to solve the problem, but representatives of the company did not participate in them, Zarafyan told a press conference in Yerevan. She noted that Sevan contains basic reserves of sweet water.
