Heritage party leader welcomes dialogue between ANC and authorities

PanARMENIAN.Net - Leader of Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian welcomed the dialogue between the authorities and Armenian National Congress (ANC). If this dialogue is pre-election policy, it will not be accepted by the Armenian society, Hovannisian told a press conference in Yerevan.

“The fact that they reached it in three years is laudable, but we should not stray from the basic goal and essence of negotiations – preterm formation of new authorities,” he said. According to Hovannisian, there is nothing new in the demands made by ANC as a pre-condition for the dialogue with the authorities. He expressed hope that all “political prisoners” will be released by May 28.

Hovannisian also referred to his conversation with ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrossian in Komitas Pantheon. According to him, they discussed only the existing problems in the country, but not cooperation matters.

Hovannisian added that due to his “political politeness,” he is ready to speak to representatives of any political forces and countries, even of Azerbaijan.
