  Armenian President offers parliament to announce amnesty May 20, 2011 - 15:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan applied to the National Assembly with an offer to announce amnesty on the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s independence. The President’s suggestion is based on the RA Constitution and Law on National Assembly’s Regulations. Earlier, Sargsyan stated that he can grant a pardon to Sasun Mikaelyan and Nikol Pashinyan imprisoned with respect to the March 1 case by May 28, the Day of the First Republic. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
