NA speaker: preterm elections to affect Armenia’s image![]() May 23, 2011 - 14:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Speaker of the Armenian parliament Hovik Abrahamyan said any preterm election – both parliamentary and presidential – has negative impact on a country’s image. Commenting on the possibility of early election in Armenia, Abrahamyan told journalists: “Only one year is left until the ordinary parliamentary election in Armenia. And I urge all the political forces, specifically the opposition, to get prepared for it.” The Armenian radical opposition - Armenian National Congress – assures that the dialogue with the authorities is aimed at organization of preterm parliamentary and presidential elections. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
