Stepanakert rapidly developing, Stepanakert Mayor says![]() ![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - Stepanakert Mayor Vazgen Mikaelyan said the city is rapidly developing. “We should provide residents with normal, comfortable accommodation for living. First of all this refers to utilities and communication system,” Mikaelyan said in an interview with Echo of Moscow radio station. Mikaelyan noted that the program on 24-hour water supply in the city will be finished in 2012. Referring to emigration from Stepanakert, he said the city does not face such a problem. To the contrary, many people, specifically youth representatives return from Russia and Armenia, concluded Mikaelyan. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
