Parliament postpones amnesty discussion for a day

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Minister of Justice Hrayr Tovmasyan suggested Armenian parliament postpone discussion on amnesty till tomorrow.

According to Tovmasyan, the time gained will allow considering all offers to adopt a final decision. “Tomorrow, we’ll submit the final version to the parliament’s consideration,” the Minister said, a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent reported from the National Assembly.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan applied to the National Assembly with an offer to announce amnesty on the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s independence. The President’s suggestion is based on the RA Constitution and Law on National Assembly’s Regulations.
