Document to be issued at G8 summit is just another statement, expert says

PanARMENIAN.Net - The statement of OSCE MG co-chairs to be delivered at G-8 summit in Deauville may contain an urge to continue peace talks on Karabakh, Caucasus Institute Director said.

As Alexander Iskandaryan stated in a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, “similar statements are delivered before every presidential meeting. The statements are meant to express support for the settlement of the conflict through negotiations.”

During May 26 meeting within Deauville-hosted G8 summit framework, Russian, U.S. and French Presidents Dmitry Medvedev, Barack Obama and Nicolas Sarkozy plan to issue a trilateral statement on Karabakh conflict settlement, an aide to Russian President Sergei Prikhodko reported earlier.
