TESEV: 39% of Turks supports normalisation with Armenia, 44% are opposed to it

PanARMENIAN.Net - TESEV (Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation) has conducted a poll to discover Turkey's Foreign Policy perception. The poll involved the residents of Turkey aged over 18.

According to poll held, 50% support political rapprochement with Armenia, 49% favour economic cooperation, 21% spoke for closer cultural relations. 39% of Turkey's population supports establishment of diplomatic ties with Armenia, 44% are opposed to it.

Every 4th of those polled noted, “Turkey has no friends”. Iran (13%), Azerbaijan (10%), U.S. (10%), Pakistan (9%) were noted as the most friendly states.

Israel (40%), U.S. (33%), Greece (16%), France (8%) were pointed out as enemies.

30% of those polled were confident Turkey will never join the EU.
