ARMENIAN DEFENSE MINISTER MET WITH GERMAN PARLIAMENTARIANS

The Defense Minister of Armenia Serzh Sarkisian received January 10 the delegation of the German Bundestag headed by deputy chairman of the Union of Christian-Democratic faction, ex defense minister Folker Ruhe, Mediamax was informed in the press service of the Defense Ministry of Armenia.

During the meeting perspectives of development of Armenian-German bilateral relations were discussed. The sides exchanged opinions on the possible ways of the Karabakh conflict settlement, touched upon regional security issues and, in this context, tasks concerning Armenian-Turkish relations.

Minister Sarkisian presented to the guests the present situation in the Armed Forces of Armenia and the process of formation of the Armenian Army.

On January 10 the Catholicos of All Armenian Garegin II also received the representatives of the German Bundestag. -0-
