Aiden McGeady: Armenia’s results most surprising

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ireland’s Aiden McGeady said the results of Armenia are the most surprising for him in the UEFA EURO 2012 group stage.

“We rivaled Armenia in the first round and gained a 1:0 victory with difficulty. Upon our return home, we were reprimanded. People believed we should have scored 4 or 5 goals. But it turned out that Armenians are serious rivals, and the match v Russia in Yerevan proved it once again,” sovsport.ru quoted McGeady as saying.

On June 4, Ireland will play against Macedonia. The Irish estimates their chances to qualify for UEFA EURO 2012 final tournament at 70%. “We may qualify for the final tournament either with Slovakia or Russia,” McGeady said.
