Hearing and speech challenged persons support group launched at Facebook

PanARMENIAN.Net - A support group for hearing and speech challenged persons in Armenia was launched at Facebook.

The initiative aims to rehabilitate the right of the deaf-and-dumb to obtain information through TV. The group has already gained over 100 supporters.

Earlier, the representative of Journalists for Future NGO Suren Degeryan addressed an open letter to Armenian Ombudsman, noting that over 3000 hearing and speech challenged persons residing in Armenia are deprived of a change to obtain information on TV for lack of accompanying sign language translations.
