No technological violations revealed in Armenia’s cheese productionJune 3, 2011 - 18:38 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - As per an instruction of Armenian Prime Minister Tigan Sargsyan, the State Service for Food Safety at the RA Ministry of Agriculture conducted another monitoring at the market of cheese production. Head of the Service Grigor Grigoryan told journalists on June 3 that the inspections have not revealed any violations that could pose a threat to people’s health. In March 2011, Mr. Sargsyan said it is necessary to conduct additional inspections among cheese producers, since over 600kg of cheese, produced with various technological violations of the existing standards, have been liquidated as a result of the first monitoring conducted by the Armenian Control Chamber. According to the National Statistical Service, the volume of cheese production totaled 4,437t in Armenia in January-April 2011 that is 0.1% lower compared to the same period in 2010.
