Iranian MFA: Ahmadinejad to visit Armenia soon

PanARMENIAN.Net - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said on Monday, June 6, that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will surely visit Armenia in near future.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran and Armenia enjoy friendly relations and good neighborliness and authorities of the two countries are continuously in contact," Mehmanparast said.

He added the trip of Iranian President will come in another time since it takes more time to arrange and finalize the documents that are to be signed during the trip between the two countries.

The exact date of the trip is still unclear, ISNA reported.

Iranian President who was to arrive in Armenia on Monday in a bid to hold talks on mutual cooperation as well as regional and international issues postponed his scheduled trip. According to the RA presidential press office, with mutual consent of the sides, Mr. Ahmadinejad will visit Yerevan at a more convenient time.
