Third political force to be Armenian authorities’ project - Lyudmila SargsyanJune 7, 2011 - 15:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Member of the Armenian National Congress (ANC), Chairperson of Social Democrat Hunchakian Party Lyudmila Sargsyan does not think that a third political force will emerge in Armenia. According to her, any new opposition force should have the same approaches as ANC for the solution of problems faced by the country and naturally cooperate with it. “Otherwise it will be an artificial union, which will be another project of the authorities,” she said. Sargsyan also commented on the statement by the head of Heritage parliamentary group that ANC only imitates the demand of pre-term elections in the country. She labeled Stepan Safaryan’s words as ‘insincere’. “Unfortunately, Heritage is in such situation now that it cannot soberly assess the opposition’s real actions,” said Sargsyan. She also recalled the statement of Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian that he does not exclude the possibility of cooperation with ANC. “It means that the head of Heritage party better conceives the role of ANC in domestic developments, while the opinion of individuals is not rather important,” Sargsyan said ironically. According to her, ANC displays a constructive approach and wants to pull Armenia out of the crisis without shocks. “If we do not succeed this way, then there will be shocks, which are desired by the people, while ANC has always been at the people’s side,” Sargsyan concluded.
