Armenia’s Jews hope for Knesset to recognize Genocide

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Jewish community hopes for Genocide recognition issue at Knesset to be positively resolved in near future, the community's chairperson said.

As Rimma Varzhapetryan told a news conference in Yerevan, significant progress has been observed, judging by Knesset speaker Reuven Rivlin’s encouraging statements, as well as Armenian issue lobby group at Israeli parliament.

Ms. Varzhapetryan further dwelled on intensive Azerbaijani propaganda among Israeli MPs, effected through support and high-level meetings. “Armenia’s Jewish community offers a very good welcome to Israeli officials, yet that’s not enough. The matter requires a governmental approach,” she stated.
