Saakashvili, Karekin II say cultural dialogue strengthening essential

PanARMENIAN.Net - Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili met with Catholicos of All Armenians His Holiness Karekin II and Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II at the presidential residence.

During the meeting, the parties stressed the necessity of intensification of cultural dialogue and closer cooperation between Armenian and Georgian nations.

As was noted, His Holiness’ visit to Georgia will further strengthen historical ties between the two countries.

Mr. Saakashvili took the Catholicos on a tour over the presidential palace; the meeting was completed with a concert of Sukhishvili ensemble, Georgia online reported.
