Edward Nalbandian, Thomas Melia discuss strengthening of democracy in Armenia June 13, 2011 - 16:39 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor at the United States Department of State Thomas Melia in Yerevan. As Mr. Nalbandian noted during the meeting, frequent mutual visits of Armenian and U.S. officials as well as the range of issues discussed prove partnership ties between the two countries. The parties further discussed actions implemented by Armenian authorities to strengthen democracy in the country, as well as the progress achieved. The meeting also focused on a number of regional and international issues.
