Commenting on the situation at the border in an interview with Military Diplomat magazine, Bako Sahakyan said that ceasefire violations have become more frequent but they cannot “change the existing balance of forces or undermine the morale of Karabakh army.” “Artsakh continuously suggests measures to strengthen trust. We offered to withdraw snipers from the contact line but the Azerbaijani side rejects any proposal however constructive these could be,” President Sahakyan said. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
