The meeting follows as continuation of the series of talks for resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Earlier, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs came out with a statement saying that the meeting between designed to serve as a landmark in Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. “We expect Baku and Yerevan to react constructively on the joint statement made on May 26 in Deauville by the Presidents of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries, which contains a call upon the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan to demonstrate political will and finalize the basic principles (of a peace agreement) during the forthcoming summit in June,” the statement said. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
