Over 150 violators of Armenian border detained in 1st halfyear of 2011

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian frontier guards, protecting Armenia’s border with Turkey and Iran fulfilled tasks set for the 1st halfyear of 2011.

“Border control administration of Russian Federal Security Service fulfilled the range of tasks assigned: protection of the republic’s state borders, prevention of state border violation, illegal transfer of property through the border,” the head of border guard troops in Armenia, lieutenant general Viktor Vlasov stated.

According to the military official, over 150 state border violators were detained, 60 units of cold arms and 100000 rubles’ worth of smuggled goods were confiscated.

In conclusion, Vlasov specified measures to be taken for further improvement of tasks in Armenian border protection, Itar-Tass reported.
