PanARMENIAN.Net - Unfortunately, migration trends are obvious in Armenia, Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan said.

“The main reason of migration is socio-economic problems in the country,” the Minister told a press conference in Yerevan.

However, Hakobyan is confident that this is a temporary phenomenon, and that having earned a some amount of money, Armenian migrants will be back to the homeland.

In this respect, she stressed that it is necessary to carry out purposeful work and use the Armenian Diaspora’s potential, for example investments, to decrease the outflow of migrants.

Minister Hakobyan also noted that many Diaspora representatives return to Armenia for permanent residence.
