Russian FM says change of OSCE MG format unreasonable

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov believes the alteration of OSCE Minsk Group format, through inclusion of new members, Turkey and Iran, to be unreasonable.

As Lavrov stated during a joint news conference with his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandian in Moscow, “suggestions of format alteration create a mere illusion of change. All they do is divert attention from the main issue.”

“Political will of OSCE MG co-chairs, acknowledged by conflicting parties as mediators is of main importance. This is what we must found the progress in Karabakh issue negotiations on,” Lavrov stressed.
