Yerevan hosts 1st all-army conference of young officers July 9, 2011 - 14:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On July 9, Yerevan hosted the first all-army conference of young officers of Armenian army. The event was attended by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan, NKR Defence Minister Movses Hakobyan, Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan, the chairman of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences Radik Martirosyan, Yerevan State University rector Aram Simonyan. In his address to conference participants, the Minister of Defence stressed the role of young officers in Armenian armed forces, urging them to serve as an example of military prowess and leadership, while supporting and guiding the soldiers. In conclusion, the Minister noted a prevention of a war to be a priority task for Armenia. In future, the all-army conference of young officers of Armenian army will be held on regular basis.
