A statement said 33 people were aboard the Antonov-24 turboprop when it landed on the Ob River some 2,500 kilometers (1,500 miles) northeast of Moscow on Monday morning, AP reported. The plane apparently was forced to make the landing because of a fire in one of its engines, the statement said. It said four other people were seriously injured. The plane, belonging to the Angara airline, was flying from Tomsk to Surgut.
