NORTH-SOUTH HIGHWAY WILL ALLOW KARABAKH'S ARMY TO BE MORE MOBILE IN WAR ACTIONS

PanARMENIAN.Net - 21.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The construction of "North-South" highway will link the Northern and Southern borders of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic as well as will allow the army to be more mobile in terms of war actions. Mediamax was informed from the press office of Karabakh's Foreign Ministry that such a statement was made by the Defence Minister of Karabakh Gen-Leu. Seyran Ohanian at the press conference took place in New York in the building of the Armenian mission in the United Nations.

On November 19 Karabakh's delegation headed by the Prime Minister Anoushavan Danielian has left for the US for participating in TV marathon starting November 23 in Los Angeles under the aegis of "Hayastan" Foundation. The main goal of the marathon is to collect sums for construction of "North-South" highway.

The Prime Minister Anoushavan Danielian said that "North-South" highway is of priority for complex development of Karabakh.

Today, on November 21, Karabakh's delegation has left for Los Angeles. -0--
