During the meeting the parties discussed the process of Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. President Obama thanked Foreign Minister Lavrov for his efforts regarding Nagorno-Karabakh and underscored the U.S. commitment to achieve a framework agreement, according to the White House official website. It is supposed that within the framework of Washington visit, Lavrov presented to Obama the details of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s personal messages conveyed to Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan last week. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit.
