Serzh Sargsyan hopes for further Yerevan-Lyon cooperation through new initiatives![]() July 19, 2011 - 16:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On July 19, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with the Mayor of Lyon Gerard Collomb. During the meeting, Armenian leader emphasized the importance of decentralized cooperation in Armenia-France relations. “I’m glad to see that continued cooperation between Yerevan and Lyon promotes friendly ties between the people of the two countries,” the President said, expressing hope for further collaboration through new initiatives and programs. President Sargsyan also thanked the Mayor of Lyon, and members of Lyons Council for their concern for Armenians and the Armenian issue. “Our people are thankful to those who shares in our pain and acknowledges the Armenian Genocide, struggling against the policy of negation,” the Armenian leader said, according to presidential press service. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
