Yerevan to host Serj Tankian’s concert Aug 14 July 21, 2011 - 13:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The lead vocalist of a world-known System of a Down rock band Serj Tankian will give a concert in Yerevan on August 14. The concert will take place in the framework of the opening ceremony of TUMO center for creative technologies. After its reunification, the band started a European tour in 2011. SOAD is expected to perform in Yerevan on April 24, 2012, Genocide Commemoration Day. System of a Down System of a Down is an Armenian-American rock band from Glendale, California, formed in 1995. It consists of Serj Tankian (lead vocals, keyboards), Daron Malakian (vocals, lead guitar), Shavo Odadjian (bass, background vocals) and John Dolmayan (drums). The band has achieved commercial success with the release of five studio albums. System of a Down has been nominated for four Grammy Awards, of which has won one in 2006 for Best Hard Rock Performance.
